Professor David Yip is a veteran in creative industries and media education. He joined the TV and Film industries after graduating from UC Berkeley and USC School of Cinematic Arts. Since 1998, David became a founding faculty of the School of Creative Media of City University and later in 2011 a founding faculty of the creative arts programs in animation, visual effects and interactive entertainment of the Open University of Hong Kong. As writer, director and producer, David is active in doing applied projects and consultancy works for government and creative industries. Since obtaining Doctor of Education from University of Bristol in 2015, David has published several book chapters in Springer on interactive media and visual storytelling.
