We are designing a series of books for mass scientific communication entitled “The Whimsical Journey of…”. We started Writingthon at our university and this episode is the byproduct of our first chapters describing the journey of a thread as part of the book on computers, electrons, and physics.

Metaphors and Artifacts

Metaphors and artifacts show how people use intangible and tangible ideas to present ideas. In the film clip about how the legacy of HKUST is inherited by HKUST(GZ), there are many metaphorical images. The artifacts and avatars we have trained are aimed at communicating ideas to others in a better and more vivid way.

Science Concepts

Scientific concepts could be better represented through discourse and image enchantment. We are working on how analogies can be used in this regard. Here you can see images that are a different kind of graphic analogies, creating a mental space for the audience to better understand.
